All the preparations have been made and now when sunday rolls around we will have an easy, and safe trip up to Western Carolina. There are a few reminders that need to be stressed before the students come to Enloe.<br /><br />1. Plan on arriving at 11:00am Sunday if your student uses his or her own band instrument, and at 10:30am if he or she plays a school instrument. The extra half hour will give time to retrieve and check over the school instrument.<br />2.When you arrive, you and your student should check in! We want to verify that you are there, and that all forms have been provided. We have a complete list of forms turned in and this should take very little time. If any forms are missing, they will need to be filled out. We have a parent on the site who can notarize any forms, if required. Physicals must be completed beforehand!<br />3. Buses will depart sometime around noon, depending on how fast loading goes. There will be a stop for a meal at a mall near Asheville sometime in late afternoon (possibly around 5pm). Therefore, your student will need to eat something before coming to Enloe, and/or have a snack for the bus. (Snacks are not needed for the week; we will provide these on site)<br />4. Mr. Hunter has found that the dorm room windows will not accomodate a window fan, as they swing open rather than slide up and down. Parents with experience at sending kids to camp advise that one or two small "clip-on" fans that can be positioned on bed frames, etc. are ideal, long lasting, and low cost. It may be useful to also have an extension cord.<br /><br />Thanks for all the hard work that the band mom's and dad's have put into this season! We are all really looking forward to this experience. This is the Enloe Marching Band's first entry. As our first off-site band camp is quickly approching a lot of preperation is being made. The Enloe Band has never before made a trip like this so everything is being discussed and reviewed to ensure that this trip goes smoothly, and is effective enough so when the band comes home we will be on our way to the best season we have ever had. When August 7th rolls around the students should arive at 10am and have everything ready to go so we can leave promply at 11am. We will be driving up to Western Carolina and be staying for 5 days. A lot must be done in that time, so please make sure you keep checking back at this site. During our trip this site will be updated as well so the parents of the students can check up on our progress.
